Building a universal humanitarian organization: “The United Nations for Children”

Save the Earth • 2001 • Ankita Lamba • Age 11 • India

An organization that will truly promote and respect the voices of children, in order to ensure they have every opportunity for a better future and restore genuine hope for a fair life on our planet. Children are the reason for the future; the future is in the hands that guide children….

This organization will have boards of directors in each country, on which children will sit.

Under the supervision of various stakeholders and sponsors, they will govern and administer the smooth running of this international non-profit organization. They themselves will ensure the proper development of the organization, as well as the legitimacy of its sources and the proper use of its revenues. Chosen by the children, the carefully selected beneficiaries will be NGOs working in the field that share the same causes and values as OVUM, namely the protection and respect of children’s rights, everywhere and every day!

  • Provide children with all the means necessary to enable them to move quickly and effectively toward a better future.
  • Raise awareness and empower children, strengthening youth consciousness by introducing extracurricular social, educational, cultural, and humanitarian activities that should be an intrinsic part of young people’s learning, with an emphasis on creative artistic development.
  • Take advantage of the potential for universal and borderless dissemination of information by children who are constantly surfing the web.
  • Build collective synergy among individuals and organizations that demonstrate leadership in promoting solid, legitimate, and vital philanthropic causes.
  • Promote exchanges, sharing, encounters, and dialogue between elders and newcomers to encourage interaction between younger and older generations.
